The red Rycote double ""Lyre"", a special thermoplastic shock mount, ensures optimum decoupling of the VideoMic GO from the camera. This prevents structure-borne noise or handling noises from being picked up by the sensitive 1/2"" condenser capsule of the microphone. The VideoMic Go can also be operated separately from the camera on a stand, with a handle or a boom. There is a 3/8"" thread in the base of the bracket for this purpose."
