This sensor switches on your garden irrigation pump or the solenoid valve on when the soil is dry, and turns off when enough moisture is in the soil. The measuring head is buried in the soil at the depth, where it is supposed to measure and is connected via a cable to the base unit. There is a 2-m cable included, but the sensor cable can be extended using a conventional 2-pin cable up to 20 m. The device is operated using a commercially available plug-in power supply (12 V/DC stabilized, > 130 mA, jack 3.5 mm). If the garden is to be watered only at certain times of day or days of the week, then plug the power supply into a commercially available timer and program this accordingly. If the soil moisture sensor gets power from the power supply unit, it will start to work.
Operating sequence:

How does it work?
Place the NEDIS SmartLife water pump near your plants and cut the supplied 10-meter hoses with all accessories so that they reach all the plants you need and a water container of your choice: Bucket, bottle or watering can.
The water pump is powered via USB and can be connected to your Wi-Fi via the NEDIS SmartLife app. Now you can water your plants manually even when you are not at home or set up a schedule: Pump water for 6 seconds to 30 minutes, and repeat every hour, every day, every week or at your convenience.
When the pump is connected, you can fully integrate it with NEDIS SmartLife to turn it on and off automatically based on another NEDIS SmartLife product or at sunset or certain weather conditions.
For maximum flexibility, you can also use 4 AA batteries (not included) to power the pump from any location. To save power, it is offline when powered by batteries, but the previously set schedule is saved so that it runs independently without Wi-Fi.
The pump generates a pressure of over 2 bar, which is high enough to pump water a total of 3 meters high. On average, around 500 ml is pumped per minute.

Level indicator for liquid tanks with capacitive measurement (insensitive to contamination and deposits in water). This can also be used to test fluid levels of liquids that chemically attack metal sensors. Only for liquids such as clean or dirty water, slurry or similar, not for oils or flammable liquids. The measurement is taken by two parallel running insulated cables, which are immersed in the liquid and indicate the fluid level by changing the capacity.
