The GARDENA Watering Control with Bluetooth® App
With the Bluetooth® Watering Controller from GARDENA, you can conveniently configure the automatic watering of your garden using your smartphone or tablet.
The weatherproof device with an elegantly simple design is installed directly on the outdoor tap.
Thanks to Bluetooth®, the irrigation control can be set within a radius of up to 10 m, for example from the comfort of your garden lounger.
A smartphone or tablet with iOS or Android serves as a practical remote control.
After installation, the GARDENA Bluetooth® app guides you step by step through the necessary settings to connect your smartphone to the irrigation controller.
You can then let the Watering Assistant easily suggest the ideal watering cycles for your plants or set up to 3 individual schedules as you wish.
Each schedule consists of different start times and durations and can be repeated on different days of the week.
A rain break can be set if required.
This allows you to ensure that your garden is not watered unnecessarily during a rainy week.
This is good for the plants and you also save water.
If you wish, you can also connect the separately available soil moisture sensor.
This then automatically ensures water-saving irrigation according to demand by not carrying out time-controlled irrigation when the soil is wet.
Three status LEDs on the control panel indicate the current status of the Bluetooth® connection, watering and the 9 V alkaline battery.
This allows operation for a whole year.
If you want to supply your plants with water outside of the watering cycle, watering can be started and stopped manually at any time by pressing a button on the device.
Thanks to the GARDENA Safe Stop function, you have automatic watering under control at all times: if the battery power runs low, the next watering cycle is automatically prevented from starting.
This gives you the certainty that your garden is protected from overwatering at all times.

The measuring head is buried in the soil at the depth, where it is supposed to measure and is connected via a cable to the base unit. There is a 2-m cable included, but the sensor cable can be extended using a conventional 2-pin cable up to 20 m. The device is operated using a commercially available plug-in power supply (12 V/DC stabilized, > 130 mA, jack 3.5 mm). If the garden is to be watered only at certain times of day or days of the week, then plug the power supply into a commercially available timer and program this accordingly. If the soil moisture sensor gets power from the power supply unit, it will start to work.
Operating sequence:
After switching on the operating voltage, the soil moisture is measured. If the soil is too dry, the connected pump is switched on for 18 - 30 minutes. If the soil is sufficiently wet, the device goes into ''Pause'' mode for approximately 18 - 30 minutes and then makes a new measurement. This continues in an endless loop until the operating voltage is switched off.

The WWD 240 socket outlet water detector functions as a purely acoustic detector.
If ground moisture is detected by the sensor, a loud acoustic alarm sounds and the LED flashes red.
After you have added the device to the Smart Live app, it sends a push notification to your smartphone in the event of an incident.
Once the sensor has dried out, the device automatically stops and the LED lights up green again.
- Simple installation (230 V socket device)
- Acoustic and visual alarm signal
- Water sensor with 2.8 m cable (can be extended)
- Install free of charge on the Smart-Life - Smart-Living-APP
The WWD 240 water detector is a device for detecting changes in water level.
As soon as the sensor comes into contact with water, an acoustic and visual alarm signal sounds and warns you of unexpected water ingress.
Once you have added the device to the Smart Live app, it sends a push notification to your smartphone in the event of an incident.
The cable and sensor should not be left in water permanently, but should be dried again as quickly as possible.

- Connection is made via a supplied JST-SH 2-pin cable
- uses the LM393 differential comparator for signal processing
- provides both analog and digital outputs
- analog values are always available on the AO pin
- digital signal is output on the DO pin when the set threshold value is exceeded
The sensor provides reliable data on soil moisture, which is determined by the electrical conductivity of the soil. The higher the water content, the better the conductivity and therefore the measurement accuracy. To use the sensor, the GND and VCC pins must be connected to an Arduino (or a compatible board such as Dasduino). A correct connection of the two sensor parts is essential, as a loose connection usually leads to malfunctions. If problems occur, it is advisable to check the connections and the program code. Wear on the prongs can also lead to malfunctions, in which case the affected parts must be replaced.
Technical data

The Teros 12 can retrofit the ELT-2 from Elsys and determines the volumetric water content (VWC) by measuring the dielectric constant of the medium using capacitance/frequency domain technology.
The ELT Advanced Soil Moisture Sensor determines volumetric water content (VWC) by measuring the dielectric constant of the medium using capacitance/frequency domain technology.
Its 70 MHz frequency minimizes salinity and structural effects, making this sensor accurate in almost any soil or soilless media.
Factory calibrations for mineral soils, potting soil, rock wool and perlite are included.
Note: This sensor requires a voltage of 4V and requires the ELT 5V Step-Up Module.
