The cleverly designed interplay of membrane shape, surround shape and surround material, as well as the adhesive used, have been successful in preventing membrane resonance or moving into the high-frequency range. The shape of the basket with large aperture and rear-ventilated spider and the open voice coil with its phase plug produce minimum mechanical losses and thus a high mechanical quality.
