Response to overload
The TL-SG1008P has a priority* function that helps protect the system when the system power is exceeded. If the total power consumption of the PoE PDs is greater than or equal to 53W, priorities are assigned among the PoE ports. The system then decides on the power distribution and shuts off the power supply at the port with the lowest priority.
Port priority function
*Priority (Port 1 > Port 2 > Port 3 > Port 4): This function is provided to protect the system if the PoE power is exceeded. If, for example, ports 1, 2 and 4 each use 15.4W (maximum power per port is 15.4 W), the total power is 46.2W (the PoE max LED is then red).
