Save time on the go by saving and transferring faster. Thanks to UASP (USB attached SCSI Protocol), this robust drive housing, combined with a UASP-enabled host controller, offers 70% higher read speed and 40% higher write speed than a conventional USB 3.0.
UASP is supported in Windows 8, Max OSX (10.8 or higher) and Linux for testing, UASP shows a 70% higher read speed and 40% higher write speed at maximum performance compared to a conventional USB 3.0.
With the same peak performance in the test, UASP also shows a 80% reduction in the required processor resources.
Test results were obtained using an Intel® Ivy Bridge system, a UASP-enabled StarTech.com-Gehäuses, and a SATA III solid-state drive (6 Gbps).
