These features are achieved by the very lightweight paper membrane, the fabric surround and the optimised drive with a 25-mm voice-coil (aluminium wire), which uses the magnetic field in the air gap to optimal effect (voice-coil slope). The capton voice-coil carrier is ventilated. The robust die-cast aluminium basket not only looks good, but also vents the spider from behind thanks to its openings, to keep the mechanical losses to a minimum.
