The SUB PA 240 was developed to support the PA 110 H. It uses the 8-ohm PAW 46 subwoofer, which, thanks to its large voice coil and additional vented air gap with six holes, allows this sub to work at high output levels and still maintain clean and precise sound. Using the suggested cabinet delivers a particularly impressive sound pressure level of 95 dB (1 W/1 m) at a lower limiting frequency of 30 Hz.The large bass reflex vent minimises loss and flow noise. The housing is heavily reinforced to ensure good stability.
If mounted directly on the wall or in a shelf, the bass reflex tube can be attenuated or enclosed to compensate the resulting bass boost.
