The SATA IDE adapter is made of a full metal construction, which makes it very resistant and is fully compatible with IDE hard drives up to ATA-133 (133 MB/s).
Thanks to its unique design, the SATA/IDE adapter can be easily placed on an IDE/ATA hard drive or in a SATA docking bay for quick and easy access to data from older hard drives. The adapter is also used to install IDE hard drives in desktop computers that use only SATA or for all other scenarios in which an IDE hard drive must be connected to a serial ATA.
