The SmartSolar charge controller even recharges a heavily discharged battery. It can operate at a battery voltage of only 0 volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulphated or otherwise damaged.
MPPT: Ultra-fast maximum Power point Tracking
By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of your Solar(PV) modules, the MPPT technology ensures that all the energy that is available is actually taken from and stored in the modules. The advantage of this is most noticeable when the sky is partially covered and the light intensity changes constantly.
Remote monitoring and control
You can remotely control and monitor the rich features of your SmartSolar MMPT charger by attaching a Bluetooth dongle and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictorConnect. When your facility is connected to the Victron Remote Management Internet Portal (VRM), you have full access to your MPPT at any time and from anywhere. Both services are available free of charge.
Load Output
The Intelligent Load Output feature prevents damage caused by the use of ''empty'' batteries. You can configure the voltage at which the SmartSolar will disconnect a load - this will prevent excessive discharge of your batteries. And here comes the highlight: The SmartSolar tries to charge the battery back to 100% every day. If this is not possible - e.g. in bad weather - it raises the voltage value for separation daily until it is successful.
