Connects the smartphone to the Homematic IP devices via the Homematic IP Cloud
The Homematic IP Access Point represents the central element of the Homematic IP smart home system. The Access Point is connected to the conventional router and connects the Homematic IP Cloud located in Germany with the Homematic IP devices in your own home - and it is fully encrypted. Since no personal data is requested during setup, the user remains anonymous despite using a cloud solution. Once the access point is connected to the Internet, all functions can be accessed via a free smartphone app. The intuitive app provides a clear overview of all conceivable functions. The app can also be used to train new devices in just a few simple steps. Thanks to a free-field range of up to 400 meters, even devices in remote corners can be reliably integrated into the system.
The innovative IP radio protocol communicates extremely energy-efficiently on the 868 MHz frequency. This ensures long battery runtimes for the remote devices and prevents users from being exposed to permanent radio radiation. The high efficiency is also reflected in the access point's energy consumption. It has an average power consumption of 1.1 watts, so there should be no surprises on the electricity bill. Despite the low energy consumption, the base also visually provides the user with the necessary status updates at any time. The button on the front of the base station lights up in different colors depending on the operating status.

Replaces conventional thermostats and regulates the room temperature according to individual requirements.
The Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and actively helps to save energy. The smart controller replaces existing radiator thermostats, allowing energy savings of up to 30 % to be achieved.
The Homematic IP radiator thermostat can be easily fitted to existing valves with an M30 thread (e.g. Heimeier) using a metal union nut without interfering with the heating system. Suitable adapters are supplied for mounting systems from the manufacturer Danfoss. The power supply is provided by two AA batteries, which can supply power for up to 2 years.
Once set up, the desired room temperature can be set either directly on the radiator thermostat, via the Homematic IP wall thermostat or via the Homematic IP app. The app can be used to define up to three weekly profiles with a maximum of six heating phases per day at room level. The system becomes really smart when used in conjunction with the Homematic IP window and door contact. If this detects an open window, the Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat automatically reduces the hot water supply to the radiators. When the window is closed again, the radiator also resumes its work. This helps to save energy, increases living comfort and protects the environment. By creating weekly profiles, you can automate everyday life - for example, you can enjoy a preheated bathroom in the morning, save valuable heating energy when you are away and enjoy your evening in the living room at the desired room temperature.
Thanks to the particularly quiet drive, the Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat can also be used in the children's room or bedroom without any problems. The built-in automatic limescale and frost protection prevents the valve from calcifying and freezing.
Tip: If several radiator thermostats are used in a room at the same time, they can be operated centrally via the Homematic IP app or particularly conveniently via Homematic IP wall thermostats.

- Detection range of up to 12 m, coverage angle approx. 90°, with 360° rotation
- Can be tailored to your needs thanks to its adjustable twilight values and ability to differentiate levels of brightness during dusk, as well as between sunshine and cloudy conditions
