With the EX-1182VIS-2 you can expand one USB 3.2 Gen 1 output of notebook or desktop computer to three additional USB 3.2 Gen 1 and one USB 2.0 port with 15KV ESD surge protection and 3KV optical isolation. It is possible to connect up to four external USB peripherals to one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port of notebooks, desktop computers or servers. The included USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable can be attached to the EX-1182VIS-2 with thumbscrews without a screwdriver. The robust, industry-standard EX-11240HMS is a compact USB 5-Gbit/s metal hub for up to four end devices. Thanks to its metal housing, it can be easily mounted on the wall or on a mounting rail. All ports have 15-kV ESD over-voltage protection.
The hub supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 with up to 5 Gbit/s and is backwards compatible back to USB 1.1. An external 3-position slide switch allows easy adjustment of the power supply during operation without having to open the housing.
