The screw Kit is the original Scythe mounting system for the new Sandy Bridge-E generation from Intel with LGA2011 socket (socket R). The screw set allows all the Backplate models of the Scythe CPU coolers to be mounted on Intel's new base. Due to the increased heat generation (Intel has increased the maximum TDP to 150 watts), Scythe recommends the use of the following models: Mugen 3, Mine 2, Ninja 3, Susanoo, Mugen 2 Rev. B, Big Shuriken 2.
Compatibility
The screw Kit for Intel's LGA2011 socket (socket R) allows all common Scythe CPU coolers, which were previously fixed by backplate, to be mounted on the backplate of the LGA2011 socket. Four enclosed screws for the screw holder on the LGA2011 socket enable a secure mounting of the CPU cooler. Due to the higher processor temperature due to the Sandy Bridge-E architecture, Scythe recommends only the models listed on the left side to be used.
Please note:
The ''metal mounting clamps for the LGA 775,1155,1156.1366'', which are supplied with the original Scythe cooler, are required for mounting!
